Sitka was written on the dock at sunset on the island of Sitka in Alaska. After a day of wildlife encounters, cultural introductions and a comfort food, Bridget sat down on the dock and listened to the tunes in the wind. Bridget is playing both the lead violin and second violin parts while Charlie Parker Mertens draws his long bow on the upright bass to bring a small quartet feeling to this recording.
